_**101 Dalmatians**_ is a live-action remake of the 1961 animate Disney film _One
Hundred and One Dalmatians_, which itself was based on the 1956 novel _The Hundred
and One Dalmatians_ by Dodie Smith. Unlike the animated film, or the novel, none
of the animals featured speak.

Jim Henson’s Creature Shop provided the creature effects for the movie.
